Patrick has been with Arthur Ventures since 2012 and has been a Partner in the firm since 2014. Patrick joined Arthur Ventures from Microsoft’s Mergers & Acquisitions team in Seattle. Prior to Microsoft, Patrick was on the Technology Investment Banking team at Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis with a focus on B2B software companies.

Ryan has been a Partner at Arthur Ventures since joining the firm in 2016. Ryan joined Arthur Ventures from Mainsail Partners where he focused on growth-stage B2B software investments. Prior to Mainsail, Ryan was the founder of a software startup, an investor with Summit Partners, and a member of the Technology Investment Banking team at Piper Jaffray.

Andrew Heim has been a Partner at Arthur Ventures since joining the firm in 2024. Andrew joined Arthur Ventures from PSG (fka Providence Strategic Growth) Equity, where he focused on growth-stage B2B software investments. Before PSG, Andrew was a member of the technology investment banking team at Piper Sandler. Prior to joining Piper Sandler full-time, Andrew interned on the sales team of Arthur Ventures portfolio company, When I Work.

Jeff Yurecko

Jeff has been an Operating Partner since joining the firm in 2020. Jeff joined Arthur Ventures after serving as Chief Financial Officer of restaurant technology business Bite Squad since 2016, where he successfully helped manage, fundraise, scale and eventually exit the business in 2019. Prior to Bite Squad, Jeff held various positions within numerous early-stage technology companies focused on implementing finance and accounting best practices, restructuring support and fundraising. Jeff also spent seven years within PwC’s deals practice in both the U.S. and Brazil, focused on supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other complex transactions for strategic and financial clients.
Jeff is a CPA (inactive) in the state of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Wisconsin’s Grainger School of Business.

Kyle joined Arthur Ventures in 2023 after 2 years at Castlelake, where he was Compliance Counsel.
At Castlelake, Kyle launched and managed Castlelake’s testing and monitoring program. Furthermore, he managed Castlelake’s code of ethics disclosures for over 200 employees.
Kyle graduated from University of St. Thomas (Undergrad) and St. Thomas School of Law (JD). Kyle is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Stephanie Shaw

Stephanie joined Arthur Ventures in 2023 as Director of Operations. She is responsible for day-to-day operations of the organization and supports the General Partners.
Before Arthur Ventures, Stephanie worked in both client service and operations roles in advertising and marketing organizations. She has worked across a variety of industries from consumer-packaged goods to agriculture and education.
Stephanie holds a BA in History from Boston College and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from Babson College.

Before joining Arthur Ventures, Gina spent 12 years recruiting and scaling teams at high-growth SaaS companies. She is passionate about partnering with hiring teams to understand their vision, culture, and goals, in order to attract talent that can make a meaningful impact.
Gina holds a BS in Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Doug Burgum

Doug Burgum is a founding partner of Arthur Ventures and is currently serving as the 55th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Raised in Arthur, North Dakota, Burgum worked as a chimney sweep to help pay his way through North Dakota State University before earning an MBA from Stanford University. In 1983, Doug literally “bet the farm” to provide seed capital for a software startup called Great Plains. Doug led Great Plains through a successful IPO and grew the company to over 2,000 employees before its acquisition by Microsoft. Burgum remained with Microsoft for six years as the Senior Vice President of Business Solutions.
Doug is the former chairman of the board and investor of Atlassian (Nasdaq: TEAM), former chairman of the board of Success Factors (acquired by SAP for $3.4 billion), and former board director at Avalara (NYSE: AVLR).
In 2016, Burgum was elected to serve as North Dakota’s 33rd Governor. As a testament to Burgum’s leadership, Forbes named him “America’s Best Entrepreneurial Governor.” During his tenure, North Dakota experienced the highest growth in real GDP and had the lowest unemployment rate in the country.

James served as a General Partner from 2013 – 2021 before becoming the CEO of Arthur Companies, a 120 year-old diversified agri-business located in Arthur, ND. James remains an active limited partner and advisor to the firm. James holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University.

Anthony James

Anthony James is the founder and former CEO of Linux Academy. During his time as CEO, Linux Academy grew revenue from $1M to $40M of ARR in under five years while taking fewer than $5 million dollars of outside investment. He joined the Arthur Ventures family in 2016 as a partner company CEO. After selling a majority stake in the business in 2019, he joined Arthur Ventures as a Venture Partner to help identify new investments and support our existing partner companies.
